Everybody who’s spent an entire day at the beach knows that tides can change radically. According to the National Ocean Service, it takes about six hours for the water at the shore to go from high to low and vice-versa. That should be more than enough time to move the car somewhere else.
Unfortunately, the family in the photo forgot that parking next to the ocean can have dangerous consequences. They probably left to have lunch and returned to discover the tide had engulfed their vehicle.
