According to the Business Research Company, the global amusement parks market is worth close to $70 billion. While less than 5% of the theme parks in the world make $1 billion or more in revenue, there’s no doubt that people are more than willing to pay for an exciting ride.
But while theme parks profit because of the emotions they offer visitors, they can’t get to everybody. The cool grandma in the photo, for instance, looks hardly impressed while riding a water rollercoaster.
