LeBron James, 40, Adds Yet Another Record to His Legendary NBA Career

If it is another night for the GOAT, it is surely another milestone for LeBron James. At 40 years old, he is not just playing basketball. He is rewriting history. In a thrilling 113-109 victory over the New York Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar put on another dominant performance, nearly posting a triple-double with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
The GOAT played 44 minutes and shot 11-for-23 from the field, proving once again that age is just a number when it comes to his game.
With that win, James now ranks third in all-time regular-season victories, surpassing Tim Duncan. Only Robert Parish and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar remain ahead of him on the list. If he keeps this pace and plays another season, he has a real shot at breaking Abdul-Jabbar’s record. Given his track record, no one would be surprised if he pulls it off.
LeBron James Has a Streak of Wins and Records
Recently, LeBron became the first player in NBA history to surpass 50,000 total points, counting both regular-season and playoff performances. No one in the league has ever put up numbers like this over such a long career.

James / IG / Every time LeBron steps on the court, he inches further ahead in the record books.
James has won championships with three different franchises: The Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers. Each time, he was the driving force behind those titles. His leadership, skill, and ability to adapt have made him one of the greatest players ever to touch a basketball.
Still a Dominant Force at 40
Most players decline in their late 30s. James? He keeps proving doubters wrong. His 21st NBA All-Star selection is the most in history. He is still scoring, passing, and rebounding at an elite level. No player has ever stayed this dominant for this long, and he doesn’t look like he is slowing down.
The Lakers’ win against the Knicks extended their streak to eight games, pushing them further into the playoff race. James remains the centerpiece of their success. As long as he is on the floor, Los Angeles is a contender. His ability to control the pace, set up teammates, and score in clutch moments keeps the Lakers in the mix.
More History in Sight
James is just 13 wins away from passing Robert Parish for the second-most regular-season victories ever. If he keeps playing beyond this season, he could chase Abdul-Jabbar’s record. Given his longevity, breaking that milestone seems more like a matter of time.

James / IG / Fans will get another chance to watch him make history when the Lakers take on the reigning NBA champions, the Boston Celtics.
With every game, James continues to prove he is one of the greatest to ever play. His story isn’t finished yet. He is still adding new chapters.
The Basketball Icon is a Philanthropist
LeBron James is not just a basketball icon. Off the court, he has made a massive impact through philanthropy and activism. His “I PROMISE School” in Akron, Ohio, gives underprivileged kids access to education and resources. His leadership extends far beyond basketball, setting an example for future generations of athletes.
His influence in sports, business, and social change makes him more than just a player. He is a global figure whose legacy will last well beyond his playing days.
