As the supervisor carefully wound her way in Peter and Mary’s direction, she could barely keep the newly arrived stranger within eyesight. The dark figure would frequently disappear behind tombstones and statuary or in a particularly thick patch of fog.
But the supervisor had an advantage, this was her turf, and she knew these grounds well. She soon closed the gap between herself and the mysterious stranger ahead. And that’s when she saw it. Amidst the billowing fog, a glistening spot of red… it was a rose!
