Dez Bryant’s Catch Or Non-Catch?
During the game against the Green Bay Packers in 2014, Dallas Cowboys player Dez Bryant made one of the most controversial catches. After the hullabaloo, referees deemed it was a non-catch because the athlete’s step was incomplete in the sense that there wasn’t a “football move” in the play.
It was a simple play that ended in calls for a review of catch rules. In 2018, the NFL competition committee found that the referees made an error in stating that Bryant made a non-catch at the time.
