A Kid’s Dream Ends
In 2006, Miami Hurricanes’ star Bryan Pata was fatally shot after his team’s practice. It was a big mystery for his teammates, family, and friends. Even his high school coach noted how the athlete was on track to be in the NFL while his former classmate described him as “cool, calm, and collective.”
It was only in 2021 when his teammate Rashaun Travon Jones was arrested. According to CNN, Pata and the suspect had a physical altercation a few months prior to the incident. It was also learned that the man in question threatened the victim.
