It may be more acceptable if a fresh college graduate lies in their resume than an esteemed college football coach. That was exactly what happened to George O’Leary, who left Georgia Tech to pursue a role at Notre Dame.
However, his resume had a lot of questionable details, including his claim that he was a New Hampshire three-time letter winner. O’Leary eventually admitted that it wasn’t true. Later, it was found that he also didn’t get a master’s from New York University.
