University of North Carolina’s Purge

We are not talking about the thriller movie “The Purge,” but how the NCAA suspended more than 10 students following an investigation in 2010. While many North Carolina Tar Heels defenders were seen to be drafted in the NFL, the NCAA found that many players received monetary compensation from agents.

The 13 players that were out of the roster were also said to have sold their team-issued Air Jordans for as high as $2,500. The school then ordered the rest of the players to return their footwear.
