Janis Joplin ‘67 Studio Session
Janis Joplin was amongst the list of artists who were at the forefront of the psychedelic rock scene in San Francisco. Joplin headlined Big Brother and the Holding Company at the time, and their initial band album wasn’t outrightly successful.
The band took to the road for the better part of ‘68, but before that, Joplin and the group put in some serious studio time. Joplin is pictured right before one of their studio sessions in ‘67 that would result in the creation of intense vocals that still inspire blues-rock singers today.
