Before LGBTQ+ athletes came into the scene, Hollywood performers pushed for the acceptance of gay men and women in society. The British former freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy did things the other way around, though: first, he became famous for being a gay athlete, and later he started working as a gay actor.
Kenworthy’s success as a skier and YouTuber allowed him to find many cool opportunities in Hollywood. He collected appearances in shows as popular as “American Horror Story,” “New York Is Dead,” and “Will & Grace.”
