The Australian former athlete Matthew Mitcham was born to jump: he was both a professional diver and trampolinist. But while he probably spent most of his career jumping, one of his jumps was particularly epic.
At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Mitcham became the first openly-gay athlete to win an Olympic gold medal and the first Aussie to do so since 1924! Accustomed to jumping for a dive or on the trampoline, Mitcham jumped into our list of top gay athletes in his own right.
