Diver Finds Old Planes At Bottom Of Pacific, Then Understand Why They Were There

No More Than Scratches and Scrapes

As Mueller continued to explore the fascinating site, she noticed some rather interesting details. For one, despite the barnacles and rust, the birds were in great condition. Most of them were, in fact, intact with just small scratches and scrapes. If these were used in a war, there would at least be bullet holes, twisted metal, or deformed fuselages, but the photographer could see none of that.

She couldn’t, for the life of her, figure out why someone would sink planes that were perfectly fine. The most unusual thing for her was how sea life had completely taken over them, proving that the aircrafts had been here for a while!
