Exclusive Photos from Heart of Iran Show Secret Lives of Residents the Government Is Desperately Trying to Hide

The Not-so-silent Majority

A survey conducted by Gamaan concluded that the majority of Iranian citizens (60%) would like to see a transition from the Islamic Republic. After 40 years of Islamic rule, a staggering 41% of the inquired said they favor the overthrown of the Republic, with 21% claiming they support a structured transition into a fresh new form of government.

There are still plenty of conservatives in Iran, though, as 18% of the survey’s respondents claimed they were happy with the regime.
