According to EarthWeb, a whopping 59% of the female population worldwide has at least one tattoo. Men love tattoos as well, and 41% of them have also inked their bodies. Per the same source, Italy is the country with the most tattoos per capita (48%), followed by Sweden (47%), the United States (46%), and Australia (43%).
An extremely conservative country, Iran doesn’t appear anywhere near the top of the list. But as shown by the beautiful tattoos of the gangsters of Tehran, more and more Iranians have been getting tats.
