The Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship for two consecutive seasons in 2000 and 2001. Therefore, when they got to the finals in 2002, it was a massive test for the Sacramento Kings to try and stop them.
Game 4 in the final was exhilarating for both teams. However, a collapse at the end saw Vlade Divac miss a huge free throw that could have given them a three-point lead. It would be a statement win for the Kings against a Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal team, but they played their part in the massive final nonetheless.
