While not one of Sean Connery’s greatest movies, Diamonds Are Forever did give the world its first glimpse at the sultry Lana Wood. Okay, maybe not the first glimpse, since she got her breakthrough posing for adult magazine Playboy, on the request of its owner Hugh Heffner.
This role put her in the spotlight and put her on her way to 20 feature film roles and over 300 television appearances in shows like Mission: Impossible, Police Story, Starsky, and Hutch. Lana retired from acting after her role in the 1982 film Satan’s Mistress to focus on her career as a producer.
