It’s Hard To Forget These Biggest NFL Draft Busts
Courtney Brown – Cleveland Browns, 2000 Draft
The 2000 draft is memorable for a couple of reasons; it had many defensive options, and the leaderboard contained the legendary Tom Brady as the 199th overall. Although, with their first pick, the Cleveland Browns decided to go for Courtney Brown, a massive talent from Penn State.
Courtney had a successful rookie season, but an injury into his second stint cut down his game time. The Browns cut him loose after only 26 appearances in three years, marking the end of his career with them. Had the team considered players like Shaun Ellis and Brian Urlacher, they would have had a Hall Of Famer.
