It’s Hard To Forget These Biggest NFL Draft Busts
Tim Biakabutuka – Carolina Panthers, 1996 Draft
Every NFL Team in the sport’s history has drafted busts, and the Carolina Panthers are no exception. One of their infamous picks dates back to 1996 when they selected the Zaire native Tim Biakabutuka from the University of Michigan. Interestingly, he was the eighth overall pick of the year based on his roaring success at college.
Biakabutuka, unfortunately, couldn’t replicate that level of performance with the Panthers, mainly due to injury. A star running back who had once recorded over 1700 yards and 12 touchdowns in the Junior season at Michigan played only 50 games in six NFL seasons averaging below 500 yards.
