In Japan, this technique isn’t just used for TV advertisements or magazine pictorials. Even the food displayed on a lot of shelves in stores and restaurants is also fake.

One must be careful about grabbing stuff and putting it in their mouth when visiting eateries in Japan because that tasty-looking menu item might not even be real food. Japanese cuisine already looks succulent and appetizing, so we’re not really sure why they feel the need to up the game further and entice us with replicas.
