The Controversial Pizzahead
Ah, the famous pizzahead. The slang might sound familiar, but not many know it is a derogatory and offensive ethnic slur used to refer to people of Italian descent. Perhaps that’s why some of these jokes never see the light of day. But admittedly, it’s pretty funny that the man’s hat was housing a pizza slice.
Italian immigrants sold pizza in the United States, but it wasn’t popular until WWII. American soldiers in Italy discovered it and brought an appetite for the dish back home.
