Non-Americans Explain Why They Love America, And Some of Their Answers Will Surprise You!

Impressive Houses

Americans like to have big things, and houses are no exception. Fortunately, most suburban areas in the U.S. are packed with affordable dwellings with a lot of space.

To non-Americans, this feels like a luxury only worthy of kings! In Europe, and especially in Asia, living in a tiny apartment can be extremely costly, depending on the location. To put it in American terms, most European and Asian cities feel a little bit like New York when it comes to property value. This is particularly crazy in places like Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London, where a tiny home can easily cost as much as $400K.

While financial speculation plays a big part in the overpricing of houses, this is also closely related to population density. In the U.S., there are fewer people per square kilometer than in Asia or Europe, which allows for some super-spacious houses with large backyards.
