Non-Americans Explain Why They Love America, And Some of Their Answers Will Surprise You!
Pioneering Space
If you were born before 1969, there’s a chance you remember the time an American first landed on the moon. But when it comes to space exploration, Americans have continued to be number one in the world.
Even the greatest America haters out there have to admit it: if it weren’t for the USA, space would probably still be an unexplored and virtually unknown place. Luckily, NASA has worked hard over the last century to uncover the secrets of the universe. Being one of the wealthiest countries in the world, the U.S. is arguably the only institution with enough resources to spend on space exploration, perhaps the most expensive business there is.
Space exploration in the U.S. was initially fueled by the American-Russian rivalry of the 20th century. But since the end of the Cold War, NASA has been operating mainly in the name of science and progress, hence contributing to the elevation of all humankind.
