From Majestic to Disturbing, The Most Jaw-dropping Winter Photographs You’ll Ever See
A Frosty End
We’ve seen a frozen frog. Now here’s a dragonfly in the same situation. While frogs come back to life after warming up, that’s not the case here. Interestingly, even though many insects can survive freezing temperatures, a dragonfly would likely be dead and unable to move or fly.
Dragonflies don’t survive the winter because the freezing temperatures would expand the water in its body, damaging the cells. Their life cycle continues because their larvae and eggs can survive such conditions.
