Eerily Unsettling Frozen Remains
Scientists often discover strange and interesting artifacts in glaciers. One example is this military plane that crash-landed in the artic in 1947 during a cold war sky mission. Thankfully, all 11 crew members survived the landing, even though they had to wait and brave the temperature for three days before being rescued.
Almost half a century after the crash, the plane was restored and attempted to fly. But it never did because it caught fire during the attempt. So the wreckage remains on the ice sheet, frozen in time.
