The Golden Age of Wrestling, Meet the Most Influential Pro Wrestlers of All-time

Antonio Inoki (Muhammad Hussain Inoki) – Active 1960 to 1998

Outside of the U.S., no other country loves professional wrestling as much as Japan does. But Japanese wrestling wouldn’t be the same without Antonio Inoki. Besides being the founder of the highly-popular NJPW promotion, Inoki is considered one of the most influential Japanese wrestlers to have ever graced the game.

Ever since he abandoned the ring in 1998, Inoki’s been successfully involved in multiple wrestling-related ventures, as well as Japanese politics. But to sports-entertainment fans, he will always be remembered for his technical prowess and unmatched charisma inside of the ring.
