The Golden Age of Wrestling, Meet the Most Influential Pro Wrestlers of All-time
Randy Savage (Randall Poffo) – Active 1973 to 2005
Immortalized as the “Macho Man,” Randy Savage was a highly popular professional wrestler who worked in WWF/WWE and WCW. Used to being the champion, he was later named as WWE’s best titleholder of all-time. Savage was, at his height, considered as popular as Hulk Hogan.
Only six years after his 2005 retirement, Savage suffered a heart attack while driving and died instantly. He was later inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2015, with a posthumous tribute.
