Leslie Samuel Phillips CBE is an English actor. You could say, old chap, that good ol’ Phillips (like His Majesty, Prince Phillips, pah ha!) was one of the superb actors of the plummy, upper-class gentleman. He utilizes, with great effect, his glorious catchphrases in a range of shows from “Carry On” to “The Navy Lark” (a long-running BBC Radio Comedy series).
And so, jolly ho, we wonder how the old navy lark has lived until the very, well, mature age of closing in on 100! In 2022, he had a bit of a tiff with his nose because he had to get a tumor removed! Well, life never gets boring.
