Farmers That Grow Giant Pumpkins Have a Leg Up in this Regatta
Giant pumpkins are used as kayaks during the fall competition held in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Thousands of spectators gather to watch the Windsor Pumpkin Regatta. The paddling division is the most popular, but there are also motor and experimental divisions. All divisions compete in a half-mile race.
Martha Stewart helped the giant pumpkin event garner popularity in 2005, though she had to drop out of the race. This famous race has inspired other races in Vermont and Wisconsin.
This next sport is adored by people and mice alike.
