The Original Canned Heat Lineup
The Woodstock Festival is considered one of the most epic music festivals to have taken place. Going Up the Country by the Canned Heat became one of the event’s unofficial theme songs. The blues group made appearances at just about every music event in the ‘60s, including the Monterey Festival in ‘67 and Woodstock.
Above is a photo of the band’s original members, including lead guitarist Henry Vestine, vocalist Bob Hite, vocalist/guitarist Alan Wilson, bassist Larry Taylor, and drummer Adolfo de la Parra.
