Robert Plant and The Runaways
English rocker Robert Plant had great success as the lead singer of Led Zeppelin through the ‘60s. By the mid-70s, Plant was apparently shopping around for new bandmates, and that meant rubbing shoulders with several new acts.
That’s how this photo with The Runways happened, and the all-female band had just grouped when they got the chance to hang out with Plant. After giving us hits like Cherry Bomb and Queens of Noise, The Runaways disbanded in 1979.
