Comedian John Candy In ‘72
John Candy was a regular student attending McMaster University before he blew up to become a prominent comedic act in the ‘80s and ‘90s. At 22, Candy already landed small roles in Canadian film and TV productions.
Candy’s earlier roles included appearances in Dr. Simon Locke and the kids’ show, Cucumber. It wasn’t until 1976 that he had his big break. Sadly, Candy gave into a heart attack while filming the parody Wagon East in 1994.
