The 1969 NBA Final was one for the history books. It featured a seemingly unfair contest between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. This is because the Lakers were filled with incredible talent, while the Celtics were just another inexperienced and aged team.
Lakers owner Jack Kent Cooke was so convinced of a win for his side that he had the staff put balloons on the Raptors and release them as soon as the team received the trophy. Unfortunately, it was not all good as they lost the game courtesy of a big Bill Russel performance.
