Everyone has endured some disappointing moments, but the worst time to experience one is when you’re expecting something big to happen. That feeling was evident in the faces of the fans and players of the New York Knicks in the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Indiana Pacers.

Patrick Ewing was arguably the best seven-footer in the league then, and he was the last player on the pitch expected to miss a last-second lay-up attempt. This meant the game and the season were all over for the Knicks.
