It’s Hard To Forget These Biggest NFL Draft Busts

Mike Williams – Detroit Lions, 2005 Draft

Mike Williams had it rough as an NFL player with lots of factors playing against him, from his team being in organizational disarray to sitting out for a year losing the structure of the football game. That doesn’t undermine that he couldn’t step up like a pro even though he excelled at the sport as a wide receiver during college football at USC.

Detroit Lions drafted Mike as the 10th overall pick in 2005 based on his record statistics of over 1,200 yards with 81 receptions and 14 touchdowns in his freshman year in college. Sadly, we can see that the footballer’s NFL career didn’t pan out as expected.
