It’s Hard To Forget These Biggest NFL Draft Busts

Gary Beban – Los Angeles Rams, 1968 Draft

Gary Beban is famous for outperforming the legend O.J. Simspon to win the Heisman Trophy in 1967 while playing in the UCLA Bruins. He also had a string of other awards to his name and was widely popular as the players’ player in college. These became excellent reasons for the Los Angeles Rams to draft him as the 30th overall pick in the second round.

The hype which caused him to be drafted fizzed out soon enough when Beban spent most of his NFL career playing backseat to Sonny Jurgensen. Barely playing a game in the four years, he decided to call it quits.
