It’s Hard To Forget These Biggest NFL Draft Busts

Pat Sullivan – Atlanta Falcons, 1972 Draft

Pat Sullivan is no more, having passed away peacefully in his sleep in 2019. He has always been remembered for being the star quarterback of Auburn Tigers and winning the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1971. Unfortunately, to date, his name is also among the major draft busts in NFL’s history.

The Falcons had pinned great hopes on his talent when they drafted him in the second round as the 40th overall pick in 1972. While Sullivan had shown great promise with stellar on-field performances at the college level, he sadly managed to record only five touchdowns with sixteen interceptions throughout his six-year NFL career.
