Non-Americans Explain Why They Love America, And Some of Their Answers Will Surprise You!

The Holidays Are Out Of This World

Besides praising the friendliness of the American people, a non-American has mentioned that the U.S. has some of the best holidays in the world.

The 4th of July, also known as Independence Day, is one of the first that comes to mind. The 4th of July is phenomenal in the U.S., with families and friends gathering to watch fireworks, concerts, and baseball games. Another typically American holiday is Halloween, a perfect day for all the children who love candy and pranks. Then there’s Saint Patrick’s Day, commemorating the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, and more widespread holidays such as Christmas, Easter, and New Year’s Eve.

America has also pioneered traditions such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, not to mention every couple’s favorite holiday: Valentine’s Day. The total spending in the most famous American holidays can range from $4.4 billion (Saint Patrick’s Day) to $630.5 billion (Christmas).
