Rhinos Like You’ve Never Seen Them Before

Here’s a prehistoric animal called the woolly rhino. Though sharing the same structure as the rhinos that exist today, there are some apparent differences. Present-day rhinos do not have the large hump on their shoulders as their prehistoric relatives did, and they lack thick fur.

Logically, animals with thick furs are common in areas with wintry conditions, and the Wooly Rhinoceros used to inhabit northern Asia and Europe. In 2020, one was discovered well-preserved in the icy region of northern Russia.
